About the Symbol & Emoji Text Generator
This generator pairs stylish fonts with decorative Unicode glyphs to build standout names and dividers.
Popular with gamers for clan tags and with creators for aesthetic bio borders. Preview and copy in one tap.
Step by step
How to use the Symbol & Emoji Text Generator
Type your text, pick a style, copy it, and paste it wherever you want text symbols.
Type your text
Type or paste your text into the box at the top of the page. Every style updates live as you type, so you are previewing your own words rather than a sample.
Pick a style
Scroll the list and find a style you like. Use the search box to filter by name, or the "only styles people can still search for" toggle if the text needs to stay findable.
Copy it
Press Copy on that style. The styled text goes to your clipboard exactly as shown, including any spacing or marks.
Paste it
Paste it wherever you need it. Because the styling is built from real Unicode characters, it travels with the text into apps that give you no font settings of their own.

Tips and common mistakes
Tips
- Stars (★, ☆) and hearts (♡, ♥) are the most universally supported decorative symbols: they are in the core Unicode block that virtually every device covers, so they are safe to use in game names and bios without checking compatibility.
- Use symbols as separators between plain-text elements rather than surrounding every word: a name like "Aria ★ Music" reads more cleanly than "★Aria★Music★" and the symbol carries more visual weight when it is used once.
- Check symbol compatibility by posting to your own story or draft first: a rare symbol that looks fine on your phone may show as a box on followers using older devices. If in doubt, stick to the stars, hearts, and arrows from the top of the list.
Common mistakes
- Using symbols in a hashtag: a hashtag is matched by the literal characters after the #, and a decorative symbol in a hashtag creates an invalid or unindexed tag. Keep hashtags plain alphanumeric text.
- Putting symbols in a resume or a formal document: automated resume scanners often misread or drop Unicode symbols, which can cause the file to fail keyword matching or text extraction. Save decorative symbols for bios, usernames, and social profiles.
- Stacking many symbols in a gaming name: most games count each symbol as one character toward the name limit, and a five-character name with four symbols on each side exceeds the limit before the letters are even entered.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do some symbols show as a box on my phone?
A box, or a question mark inside a diamond, means the device you are looking at has no picture installed for that particular character. It is more likely with rarer decorative symbols than with common ones like stars or hearts, and it is unrelated to anything breaking on this site: every symbol here is a real, currently assigned Unicode character. If one shows as a box for you, try a more common symbol from the same row, since most of them do the same job.
Can I put these symbols in a resume or professional document?
Best avoided there. Many resume screening tools read plain text and can misread, drop, or garble decorative Unicode, which risks your resume being skipped rather than noticed. Save these for bios, usernames, and casual messages, where nothing is parsing the text automatically.
Do symbols count toward a platform's character limit?
Yes, the same as any letter. Most single symbols count as one character, though a few decorative combinations built from two glyphs count as two, so double-check your final length on Copy if you are close to a strict limit, like a gaming name or a short bio field.
Is the Symbol & Emoji Text Generator free to use?
Yes. The Symbol & Emoji Text Generator is completely free with no sign-up, no watermarks, and no limits on how much text you convert or how many times you copy it.
